Stanford, which has made 29 straight NCAA Tournament appearances, is synonymous with success. One of the winningest programs in women’s college basketball history, the Cardinal boasts 1,004 all-time wins and reached the quadruple-victory milestone in the third-fewest amount of games. Stanford returns the lion’s share of its production to a preseason top-10 team in 2016-17.

Knocking On The Door

An ambassador for both Stanford and the sport of college basketball, Tara VanDerveer has enjoyed an unprecedented level of success through an energetic and positive approach to the game. Another milestone is on the horizon for the Hall of Famer in 2016-17, her 31st season at Stanford. VanDerveer sits just 20 victories away from joining Pat Summitt as the only NCAA women’s basketball coaches with 1,000 career wins.
